- Spraying Scotchgard on white breeches and saddle pads before you ride will help dirt and stains come out in the wash.
- Use a dryer sheet on the horse's legs to keep the flies off.
- For scratches and mud fever, mix powdered Massengil with water. Put in as much Massengil as the water will take. Shake or stir until dissolved and apply to affected area. A squirt bottle will work well.
- To remove the "grunge" off horse's hind legs spray a little Windex on it, and then use a rubber curry brush to clean off the "grunge." Be sure to carefully wash the Windex away with mild soap and water once you have cleaned the legs.
